I’m choosing to go into the new year with an attitude of love.

Maybe last year brought you painful memories. Perhaps the way you were treated was less than you deserved.

I often hear people say, “Be the bigger person.” I get that…. Maybe that’s even what’s behind my decision.

But it’s more than that.

I want to go into 2022 with the presence of God draped upon me….

What if we walk into the months ahead with God’s covering? After all… He IS love.

What if instead of asking God to help in our relationships that are less than perfect, we begin to simply dress ourselves with the One who is the very expression of love?

He wouldn’t just cover THEIR sins; He’d cover ours too.

So, when we walk into work or church or even into our own living room where that malignant person awaits… we change the atmosphere.

Now their strikes against our character aren’t tearing across our hearts; they’re brushing up against the presence of the Almighty.

Their attacks are being met by His goodness, by the Love that covers a multitude of sins….

So, I’m spending more time in HIS presence, casting off anger & disappointments of the past.

I’m not expecting to be riled by unkind words or to be hurt by uncaring behaviors that are bound to come.

I’m looking ahead in faith to the transformation that God’s love will bring into every situation….
