God, we feel so…spent.

Have you ever felt that empty emotionally? Maybe you’re feeling that way right now.

The conditions of our days, the people we have to deal with, the stresses of things beyond our control can drain us.

Things we never asked for in life can take control over our peace of mind, over our joy.

But that’s never how trials were meant to be. God truly has our comfort, seemingly unattainable peace, our answers…in His secret place. The place we’re supposed to hide ourselves when tests come….

No, we’re not hiding from the world; were hiding ourselves in Him– the One Who has our backs, the One Who knows how to assure us, maneuver us through the difficulties.

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.” (Psalm 91:1-4)

This is where we rest when we’re spent….
