How to Seize Victory via Relentless Prayer....

Brenda Dillon

At the end of my life, I want people to say, “She was relentless in praying for me. She wouldn’t give up, wouldn’t give in. That person fought for me. She was there for the endurance run, not just the short sprint.” I want them to know I cared, that they were important….

Let’s be honest, that kind of attitude isn’t always convenient in life. We have work, homes to run, a family to care for, a blog to write😉, a million little things that no one else is going to do for us in life. But I do want to make time to be THAT person– 100%.

I’ve been there when life was so hard you didn’t feel like you could breathe through the night to take on the next day, when what I had to go through felt like crawling on my belly through mud & hurt like my heart was turned inside out, emptied and crushed. I recognize it in others. I know they need someone to have their backs. Have I let people down? Of course! It’s impossible to put your heart and soul into everyone’s trials at once.

But there’s that precious heart that touches mine sometimes and I know. This is who I specifically need to have their back in prayer. They probably don’t even really know it a lot of times. The times I stayed up late lifting up their need to God, pleading for a breakthrough in their circumstance.

I’m so grateful for the ones who have covered me in prayer. They’ll never know how much it’s meant. At times, it was probably what gave me the ability to make it just one more day until the breakthrough came. Wouldn’t you want to know you did that for someone? Wouldn’t you hate to know that you didn’t do it and cost them the war?

The book of Exodus tells us that as long as Aaron and Hur held up Moses’s arms, the Israelites won in their battle over the Amalekites. And so they overcame…. We all need an Aaron and a Hur sometimes– people holding up our arms while we pray the prayer of faith over our circumstances.

Through relentless prayer, we tear down walls, push forward to victory, see miracles! Together, we are overcomers.
