David, in Psalm 22:1,2 had a similar interaction. “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from my cries of anguish? My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer, by night, but I find no rest.”

It’s good to know that “As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.” (Psalm 103:13)

Sometimes we need a lot of compassion. A lot! If we can just learn to step back & remember that God’s seen the end of a situation before we even prayed about it.

Sometimes not getting our way is a mercy thing. Maybe our ask is just not in God’s timing. Perhaps, well, LIKELY, He just knows best.

When we begin to truly surrender our wills to Him, we can better deal with…

…hearing no.
…waiting.
…accepting an alternate path.

Proverbs 3:5,6 may just be the key to getting there. “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

It’s ok if WE don’t understand our plight. It’s alright to be disappointed. But trust that God knows what He’s doing– and carry on in faith….

#BrendaDillon #ChristianBlog

God must think our prayers sound like the whining of a spoiled child at times! …”It didn’t go the way I wanted.”…”This isn’t fair.”…”I’m not happy.” We defend ourselves with arguments like… …”I’ve been a good Christian.”…”I treat people right.”…”I don’t ask for much.” Aren’t you grateful that He’s patient with us when our prayers […]

"WB4WB4WP_MODE":"","WB4WP_PAGE_SCRIPTS":"","WB4WP_PAGE_STYLES":"","WB4WP_PAGE_FONTS":"","WB4WP_PAGE_HEADER":"","WB4WP_PAGE_FOOTER":"
"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

37,56
7,45,32,73,5,71,3,72
post-1266","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-christian-life","category-inspirational","tag-blog","tag-christian-living","tag-encouragement","tag-faith","tag-inspirational","tag-prayer","tag-wellspring-words","tag-whining

https://i0.wp.com/wellspringwords.life/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Prayers_as_a_whining_child.jpg?fit=1280%2C720&ssl=1
["GET
